Peak District Artisans at Chatsworth

A showcase of original works created by some 24 Peak District-based artists, designer makers, and contemporary artisans,

One of our favourite places to get out for some fresh air and a walk has to be Chatsworth Estate and perhaps enjoy one of their special afternoon teas too!


If it snows, or frosty - it is lovely to see the nearby 3 Polar Bears at Blackbrook Wildlife Park which is normally open all year round

3 Spectacular Snowdrop walks in the area  - at Hopton Hall, Rhode Hall and a walk around Millersdale village.  Enjoy an early Spring break with us and just enjoy a stunning walk with family and friends.


Ashbourne Royal Shrovetide Football  - Played in Ashbourne every Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday, this exciting and dramatic game is thought to be one of the oldest forms of football in the world.


Chatworth Opens its Farm Park and Adventure Playground for February Half Term Holidays.

March

Mothering Sunday - we normally have a special offer on of Cream Tea on arrival as a little treat for those that want to treat mum for a break with family


The Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter Racecourse in March is one of the biggest sporting events in Staffordshire, drawing 16000 fans to a full day of pulsating horse-racing, topped off with the second largest steeplechase in the UK.


Spring bulb festival at award winning Trentham Gardens - over a million bulbs planted -  giving visitors an amazing uplifting, immersive and colourful experience as you walk through the gardens. 


Many attractions start to open up again after a winter break including Alton Towers, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall

The beautiful bluebells are out locally - which offer such lovely springtime walks and is one of our favourite times of year on the farm.


Explore our traditions in May with well dressings in Staffordshire at nearby Endon and at various villages throughout Derbyshire.  See stunning wells dressed and local village events celebrating the gift of water from the wells.


Staffordshire County Show highlights our agricultural roots and has superb displays and animal on show.

June sees the start of the The Garden outdoor Theatre  at Gawsworth Hall - will run from 22 June to 4 August 2024.
